Tiny Text Generator

Turn text into tiny superscript characters for bios, notes and captions — the classic 'small text' look in chat apps.

Style: Tiny / superscript · letters with no Unicode form stay unchanged

How this works

Tiny text is assembled from Unicode's modifier-letter and superscript sets (U+1D43–U+1DBB, plus the superscript digits ⁰¹²³⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹). These characters were designed for phonetic notation and mathematics, which is why the coverage is uneven: letters such as q have no superscript form at all, so they stay their normal size. Digits are complete, which is why tiny numbers always work and tiny words sometimes look mixed.

Examples

InputOutput
small text (Tiny / superscript)ˢᵐᵃˡˡ ᵗᵉˣᵗ
2026 (Tiny / superscript)²⁰²⁶
note (Tiny / superscript)ⁿᵒᵗᵉ

Where to use it

Handy for adding a small 'note to self' under a caption, marking edit notes, or writing '㋡' style asides. Because the coverage is partial, tiny text is best for short strings — digits, dates and common words — rather than long sentences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are some letters not tiny?

Unicode simply has no superscript version of them. Letters q, and most capitals, have no modifier form, so they pass through as normal characters. The tool is honest about this rather than substituting a lookalike that would break the word.

What is the difference between tiny text and small caps?

Tiny text uses superscript letters (ᵃᵇᶜ) that sit above the baseline, like an exponent. Small caps uses small-capital letters (ᴀʙᴄ) that sit on the baseline and are simply drawn smaller. Choose tiny for an 'exponent' look and small caps for a title treatment.

Do numbers work in tiny text?

Yes — the superscript digits ⁰¹²³⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹ are complete, so dates, fractions and measurements convert perfectly. Superscript minus and plus signs ⁻ ⁺ are converted as well for exponents such as 2⁻³.

Will tiny text be readable to everyone?

It is smaller than normal text on most screens, which is the point, but that also makes it hard to read on phones and impossible for many screen readers to parse correctly. Keep it decorative rather than functional.
