A focused collection of Unicode text style converters for bios, captions, headings and plain-text documents.
Each tool converts ordinary letters, digits and punctuation into a styled Unicode alphabet: mathematical script, Gothic fraktur, double-struck outline, monospace, fullwidth, circled, small caps, superscript, subscript and the combining marks used for strikethrough, underline and glitch effects. The conversion table on every tool page is built from the Unicode standard itself instead of an approximation, which is why the rare characters — the script ℯ, the italic ℎ, the blackboard-bold ℂ — are correct.
Browsers, chat apps and social platforms render whatever Unicode characters you give them. A styled letter is a different codepoint that happens to look like a styled drawing of the plain letter, so it survives copy and paste exactly as typed. Nothing is a font, an image or an extension, and no character is invented: where Unicode has no styled form, the plain letter is returned unchanged and the page says so.
Styled characters carry the same sounds as the letters they resemble, but screen readers, translators and search engines handle them inconsistently. Use them for decoration, keep meaning-carrying text in plain characters, and avoid the glitch style where a reader must be able to parse the words.
Corrections, missing styles and requests for new tools are welcome; the site is maintained by a small independent publisher of free browser tools.
